Aomori Prefectural Center for Industry and Tourism ASPAM
Aomori Prefectural Tourism and Products Museum ASPAM is a 76-meter-high, equilateral triangle building, a rare architecture in Japan. In fact, the “A” of ASPAM is the motif of the building.
The first is a souvenir floor where Aomori’s specialties can be found. You can find crafts such as Tsugaru-nuri and Tsugaru-biidoro at the souvenir floor, as well as Aomori’s local sake and sweets. We recommend the freshly baked apple pie from “pam pam.”
The second floor is for workshops. There is a theater where visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic 3D digital video of Aomori’s spectacular scenery, including the Nebuta Festival, and a corner where “Tsugaru Kogin Zashi” making is demonstrated.
On the 13th floor, a 360-degree observation deck is 51 meters above the ground. On the 14th floor, a bar, “MUSIC BAR of the Night Sky: Umi to Hikari,” is based on the concept of a “lounge of sea and light connecting travelers and Aomori. The “Night Sky MUSIC BAR Umi to Hikari” bar opened in January 2024.
