Roadside Station “Tsugaru Shirakami” Beach Nishimeya is located in Nishimeya Village, Aomori Prefecture, and reopened in April 2019.

The name “Beach” comes from the village’s tree, the beech (Beech). The facility has a variety of facilities, including a direct sales shop for agricultural products, a restaurant “Morino Door,” and a store of the outdoor brand “Montbell” (montbell). The Montbell shop in particular sells limited-edition products that can only be found here, such as originally designed T-shirts, hats, and tumblers featuring the traditional Tsugaru technique of “kogin-sashi” (stitching with a kogin stitch) and apples.

Also, at Shirakami Winery & Shirakami Raw Honey “BeFavo”, gelato and soft-serve ice cream using “Shirakami raw honey” collected on the rooftop of the roadside station are popular. This raw honey is nurtured by the rich nature of the Shirakami Mountains, and visitors can enjoy different seasonal flavors and pour as much as they like over their soft-serve ice cream.

In addition, the Shirakami Roasting House offers coffee roasted using charcoal from Nishimeya Village, and visitors can even try their hand at roasting.

At the restaurant “Mori no Door,” the jyuwari soba (buckwheat noodles) made from buckwheat flour, a specialty of Nishimeya Village, is very popular. Curry with of Tsugaru Dam image, and “Meya Tofu” that does not fall apart even when tied with a rope, made from 100% Nishimeya soybeans and water from the underground streams of the Shirakami Mountains, are also specialties.

Roadside Station “Tsugaru Shirakami” Beach Nijimeya is a bustling place for both locals and tourists to experience the nature and culture of Nishimeya Village.
