Handmade Soba Kakudai
Kakudai in Aomori City is a famous handmade soba noodle restaurant along Shinmachi Street. The owner carefully selects soba flour from different regions every day and prepares soba noodles according to the climate and humidity of the day, resulting in ultra-fine yet firm soba noodles. The representative menu includes Nihachi-soba and Juwari-soba, with the Juwari-soba being exceptionally well received by locals and tourists alike, served only during lunchtime hours. Various flavors can be encountered each season, so you can enjoy a fresh taste no matter how often you visit.
Ten Seiro and Kamo Seiro are particularly well-loved regular menu items. The restaurant also offers a Soba-mae set in the evening, which is a great way to enjoy a la carte dishes such as Itawa, Tempura, Dashimaki, and Agedashi Tofu with a light drink.
