Fujita Memorial Garden

Hirosaki-shi HISTORY NATURE

The Fujita Memorial Garden is a beautiful Japanese garden located in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, created in 1919 as the garden for the residence of Kenichi Fujita and opened to the public in 1991 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Hirosaki City.

The garden is vast and divided into two areas: the upper area houses a Japanese house and a tea house. In contrast, the lower area is a circular garden centered around a pond.
Visitors can enjoy the seasonal scenery, especially the cherry blossoms in spring and the autumn leaves in fall.

One of the most beloved experiences in the garden is savoring powdered green tea while taking in the breathtaking view from the tea house. What’s more, the garden is conveniently situated right in front of Hirosaki Castle and is just a short 15-minute bus ride from JR Hirosaki Station, making it easily accessible for all.
