Yakko Sushi

Goshogawara-shi FOOD

Yakko Zushi is a popular local sushi restaurant in Kanagi-machi, Goshogawara City, Aomori Prefecture.

Founded in 1975, the owner’s carefully handcrafted sushi served in a traditional atmosphere is loved by many regular customers and tourists.

The specialty is the vast, 10-centimeter-thick futomaki (thick roll) with 11 different kinds of seafood. This dish is packed with ingredients and looks gorgeous and satisfying. We recommend ordering well in advance of time.
Kanagi is also a producer of horse meat. Here, you can also get sushi with horse meat, which is rare.

The set menus, starting from 1,000 yen and going up to 4,000 yen for the omakase, make Yakko Zushi a surprisingly affordable dining option that won’t break the bank.

The restaurant also offers a wide variety of a la carte dishes using local seafood, providing an exciting array of dining options for families and groups.

In fact, they have original sushi items other than futomaki. Please ask the owner directly.
