ALPOLTO is a long-established Western-style restaurant located in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. The owner, Mr. Shibata, who is over 70 years old, has had the opportunity to taste Western cuisine at various restaurants in Italy, France, Spain, the U.S., Mexico, and other parts of Europe.
Paella, based on a thick broth of mussels and scallops, is a signature dish, filled with fish and shellfish such as prawns, squid and scallions, as well as local chicken and vegetables from the prefecture.

In fact, it was once closed in 2019 but will be revived in 2021. The chef has been loved by Hirosaki locals for more than 30 years. He says he wants to “die in the kitchen” and aims to remain active for the rest of his life.
