9:00 Nebuta Museum WA RASSE
The Aomori Nebuta Festival is one of the three major festivals in Tohoku, held annually from August 2 to 7. The Nebuta Festival is the pride of Aomori citizens, and you can enjoy watching, listening to, and dancing to this colorful, powerful festival! You can feel the passion of the Nebuta masters.

Japan’s largest panoramic 3D movie theater is here, letting you experience Aomori’s beauty of four seasons and powerful festivals. You may decide where to go later in the day at this theater.

11:15 Aomori Museum of Art

A must-see when you come to Aomori. Experience all four of Chagall’s giant stage backdrop paintings “Areco” and Nara Yoshitomo’s outdoor installation in the spacious natural surroundings!

12:15 Sannnai Maruyama Site

This World Heritage Site is one of the largest Jomon Period settlement sites in Japan. Feel the exquisite and complex culture of mind and high fashion sense of thousands of years ago, as seen in the clay figures, stone circles, ring tombs, jade accessories, and Jomon pochettes.

If you have still time and energy, go a little farther. Both are like a different world, and it is hard to believe that they are less than an hour trip from the city.
