CULACCINO

Aomori-shi FOOD

CULACCINO, located in Honmachi, Aomori City, is an authentic Italian restaurant using carefully selected Tohoku ingredients. Culaccino” is Italian for” glass marks on the table.

Like the untranslatable word, the name was chosen with the hope that customers will enjoy imaginative dishes that can only be found here. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with only counter-seats built around the kitchen, creating a casual yet sophisticated space.

Chef Ishioka, who was trained at Italian restaurant in Aomori city, makes the most of his skills and ingredients to create simple dishes that maximize the ingredients’ potential. Omakase courses are priced at 9,900 yen and 13,200 yen. The restaurant is exceptionally careful about ingredients produced in the prefecture, from fish and vegetables to meat. For example, the exquisitely cooked wild boar meat from Mr. Yoda, a wild boar farmer in Imabetsu Town, is an exquisite steak.

Seasonal natural wine pairings are also popular, with wines carefully selected to match the cuisine. The space is small, with a maximum of 8 seats, so it is best to make a reservation before visiting.
