A small diner is located in front of Aomori Station.

It is a famous restaurant constantly introduced in guidebooks, and there is often a long line at lunchtime. Our recommendation is still the menu using Aomori’s specialty, scallops, as shown on the signboard. Scallop sashimi, scallop fillet sashimi, and butter-grilled scallops are served with hot white rice.
The sashimi set meal is priced at 930 yen, a very reasonable price for ordinary people.
A specialty unique to Aomori is the scallop shellfish miso. Using a scallop shell as a pot, miso is mixed into the soup stock, and when it comes to a boil, the ingredients are added, and finally, the dish is covered with an egg. The slightly salty flavor is characteristic of Aomori’s local cuisine. It tastes great with both white rice and sake.
